ARE GOD FATHER AND SON THE SAME?
64God said: I am the only one and there is no other God before me.
Concept: God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is not a new revelation. The same we my say Unitarian approach is not on the line only now. It existed and disagreed before our time.
This subject should not come on the scene by believers at all. Our God is too complex for our understanding with our minds. To believe and love Him is the only way for fellowship and a relationship. Questions and discussions bring strife which is the sin. If God is one God, He still may have a Son as He chooses. “Believers” of oneness of God are very argumentative and controlling as far as my experience is concerned.
Every king we know has a family. If he has a wife and a son, it does not mean they have three kings.
There are many misunderstood points on both sides of this issue, but people who believe in a triune God are on the correct side.
Believing and loving is the best way to be close to God and having fellowship with Him.
I would like to take a moment to explain that our heavenly Father and our Jesus are one but not the same. The Word one (echad) means both: number one and the same time unity (oneness). If God is the same, being both the Father as well as the Son He would tell us openly.
He may say it openly and clearly: I am your God and I am not father and son at the same time.
God is not dichotomic.
The word Trinity is not in the Bible. It points only what is there in the Word. There is one God who revealed Himself in three persons. The word Triunity is an attempt to explain complexity of what the Bible said.
The Bible is clear enough.
1. Lord Jesus is Lord of our territory or planet earth. Our earth is part of the kingdom of heaven. We are actually a colony of heaven. The Bible said that Jesus is Governor - His government is on His shoulders (Isa 9:6-7).
2. Lord Jesus said My Father and I are one… (John 17:21). They all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:
John 17:22 And the glory which You gives me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.
Understanding is clear. The word in Hebrew is “echad” and in Greek “heis”. If Father and Jesus are the same, then He had only one disciple, which each one would be the same.
Yes they were in unity as a group but also many persons.
1. Man and woman will leave parents and became one - echad but not the same (Genesis 2:24).
2. The word Elohim in the beginning of Bible (Genesis 1:1) is plural in ancient Hebrew dictionary and means three (or more-techically). Hebrew text Genesis 1:1 stated: Bereshith bara Elohim, then fallows Alef-Tav, which means in Greek: Alpha and Omega - the Word, “sitting” next to Elohim. Later the Holy Spirit was hovering over the waters after cataclysmic event occurred. The Holy Spirit was waiting on the Word to restore and replenish damaged earth.
3. When the Messiah Yeshuah will come back and sit on the throne of David for millennium, then the throne of heaven would be vacant without God, if Unitarians are correct. But they are not. The earth will not be replaced by heaven. When the new heaven and the new earth will be created it would be perfect state, very similar than now except sin.
4. If Jesus is the same as Father, heaven will be vacant twice.
5. If Jesus is not other person as Father and Holy Spirit, Jesus would not sit now on the right side of Father and the Holy Spirit would be not come to us as the replacement of Jesus. There are three different personalities no matter whether we use the word Trinity or not.
6. Man in paradise died first spirituallyand then died physically, 930 years later.
7. The same happened – the Last Adam, Jesus, died spiritually first (it started in the garden of Getsemane), before He was able to die physically. The physical death is impossible without spiritual death first.
8. For this reason Jesus had to suffer in Hell spiritually along with physically (before) and in the soulish realm.
9. Jesus raised others from the death. Others persons also raised people from the dead.
We see clearly different personality of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The faith is the essential to believe Father sent His Son.
Is it not clear there is involvement of two distinguished persons?
In conclusion we cannot understand God with our brain/mind. We may only believe in Him (in the heart-spirit), love Him and enjoy His presence.
We have only One God-Head. The faith is essential to believe the Father sent His Son and Son sent the Holy Spirit.
God is the family and we were created to their image. But God is one God-Head. Jesus is the body and Holy Spiit is unseen.
It is hard to understand and comprehend God. He is awesome and holy. This is what we know.

Very interesting read and confirms my understanding that the first man Adam was made by God and he sinned and died spiritually at the Garden of Eden, then Jesus the second man (God's son) came to earth in human form, died because of the first man's and all our sins. He was our Savior and Redemer, God sent him to die for us, and then he rose from the dead and left the Holy Spirit to reside in all who believe. I am looking forward to his second coming - well done - blessings to you.
Great hub Vladimir. Thanks.
Great work explicating the Trinity, my brother. I had no idea that "Elohim" meant "three." I definitely learned something new from you. God Bless You!
Vladimir, you know how I respect you and I never interfere with your vision of things. However, I just want to mention that from Hebrew meaning of the word Elohim (and, actually, only Hebrew meaning has a right to exist, since this is a Hebrew word, not found in any other languages), Elohim does not mean "three gods", or "more that two". There is another form of a word "El" (god in singular) to mean plurality, it is "Elim", and this word is used to identify, say, Hellenic gods. The ending "im" in Hebrew is used for plural in masculine gender. There is another ending with the meaning "two", it is "aim", for example- "shana"- one year, "shnataim"- two years, and "shanim"- just "years", more than two. If the word "Elohim" was supposed to bear a meaning of two, it would probably had a form of "Elohaim", which I never saw in Hebrew. There is a word "Elohai", meaning "Elohim sheli". But from Hebrew meaning. "Elohim" is a very polite and respectful way to say "God", like in some languages a plural form of pronoun is used to address a respected or an elder person. "Elohim" is ONE, in spite of plurality of the form. "Elohim" is The God, The Creator. That's it.
Interesting stuff!! Well explained. I love stuff I have to chew on a bit.
Hm, what can I tell you.... Even with my knowledge of Hebrew I can tell a mistranslation of certain words in this passage (as in many others), actually a manipulation for a certain agenda. But I am not arguing, because I never try prove anything, just pointing. We'll know everything some time, there's no need to fight about faith.
Very enlightening - I know the book "The Shack" has received a lot of criticism but I believe that book is trying to convey that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are not the same that they each sort of have their own personalities. So my question is does this mean that our relationship with each of them should be different? Should our relationship with God be different than our relationship with Jesus?
Vladmir, Very thought provoking! Our little finite minds cannot concieve the AWESOMENESS of our INIFINTE GOD! There is only one God and no other besides Him! The Father & Son are ONE! PRAISE the LORD!
Thank you for sharing, In HIS Lovve, Grace, Joy, Peace & Blessings!
Thanks for shedding light on this. It confuses some people.
You, my friend are extremely diligent and wise.
James.

This is an awesome hub Vladimir! And I was impressed that you understood Jesus as the LAST ADAM, not the second Adam, as so many have mistakenly quoted. He is indeed the second man (meaning He became flesh AFTER Adam) but He is the last Adam.
And I like what you said here .. quote When the Messiah Yeshuah will come back and sit on the throne of David for millennium, then the throne of heaven would be vacant without God, if Unitarians are correct. But they are not. The earth will not be replaced by heaven. When new heaven and earth will be created it would be perfect state, very similar than now except sin.. end quote
How true.
