HAVING LOVE - CONFESSING LOVE Part II
61It has often been said: “You have to love.” “You must love.” It is a command. Command never showed us how to do or how to practice it. They did not even tell us how to start.
Many Christians may be depressed because they have not experienced the love of God or the love of their brothers. They become introspective. They study themselves instead of others. They look and say: “Nobody loves me.” It is again a case of seeding failure. It is like seeding weeds in a garden. Weeds in garden do not allow the good seed to grow to its potential. Seeding failure ruins the seeds of the fruits of the spirit - love.
Even worse, they confess it about themselves. They seed insecurity. They stop the flow of the river of God’s love; they stop the river of others' love.
Those barriers are negative words. They are blessing blockers. They stopped feeling loved and stopped the flow of love. They anesthetized themselves by saying: “Nobody loves me. I am not worthy.” They actually contradicted the Word of God. They were bought by a great price, the price of the blood of Jesus, so they are worthy and they are loved.
Nobody deserves love. God did not send His Son because people deserved it or the church earned love. God sent His Son simply because He loved the world.
If you will pray to God: “Give me more love,” you will admit that you do not have love. Satan will agree with that. Instead, confess love and speak aloud about love.
We pray and confess the following: "Father, thank You that You gave me love. You poured love into my heart when you gave me a new life. Thank You. I love You and I love my fellow Christians. Thank You for the ability to love. I have the ability to love like no one else. That's my confession of love. I love without conditions and without demanding love from others. After a confession of love aloud to ourselves, we confess it to others.
Love comes to the heart the same way as God’s Word is seeded and starts to grow. It will multiply. Then from the heart it will spread out and become visible. It will work by itself. God said the Word became flesh. It became reality.
God loves you through His Son Jesus. Find out how God loves His Son in the Word of God. He sacrificed Him for our salvation. The Son loved His Father so much that Jesus wanted to please Him.
The more you give love, the more real it becomes in your life. You will become more aware of it.
It is the same with baptism. When you get baptized, you identify with Jesus. You are being immersed; you bury an old man and when you come out, it will symbolizes a new life. By baptism you confess physically what happened during the new birth. You died and you were born (resurrected) to life. When you get baptized, your salvation becomes more real. The same is true with love. When you confess it, say it to others, you identify with Jesus’ love. You align yourself with God’s Word. You become aware of love like never before. It will become real to you.
Let Jesus baptize you into love.
When I started to practice love I had a great desire to change my enemies to brothers. I had a desire to communicate with them not out of duty, but out of my heart. An unknown force drove me. It was a power to grow in the Word and in love. It was a force of the fruit of the spirit. It is the power of the life of God.
Change the image you have of yourself. Look at yourself as God sees you. It is difficult for the world to show you love if you approach them with a depressing face. They will reflect only what you are. Smile at them. Tell them you love them. Don’t worry if they do not understand at the beginning. Start loving and the fruit of the spirit will grow and ripen.
Many do not feel loved because they lost love themselves. They lowered themselves. They killed the love within or let it die because they did not say it. But God made them equal to Jesus in love. How can you not think highly of Jesus when He is in us? God invested in us. He gave us everything He had.
Whoever prays for more love acknowledges that he does not have love. Then he repeats himself and sows a lack of love. That lack of love can also multiply and grow.
The disciples came to Jesus and asked Him to increase their faith. He did not grant their request. He told them that if they have faith as a mustard seed they would talk to a tree to move... Speaking love will increase love. This is the way to practice what we have and what we already know. God will not give us more love because He already gave all of us love. If we have a love seed, the size of a mustard seed, we will speak love. We will plant that seed. Love will grow. Love will come. We have to seed it we have to multiply it.
Paul asked the Lord to remove the thorn from his flesh that Satan gave to him. Paul prayed three times, but God did not answer his prayer; He did not remove it. The Lord wanted Paul to use his own authority to do something about it. Paul not God should talk to the problem to move it like a mountain out and be gone. God wants us to exercise. The same is with love. He gave us love. He will not give us more; He has already given us all of it.
We have to receive love by the Word of faith and we have to multiply it by the Word again. The Word of love is the seed, our mouth is the sewer, and the ground is our heart.

This is a thought-provoking article, Vladimir. Thank you. I am not sure I would have gotten it a couple years ago, but I can begin to understand and use it now.
