60Base for friendship is phileo love.
The friendship is relation between two persons that binds in soul and spirit realms. I favor to say that it is spirit, which is the base of the man.
It involves the special love, “phileo” love outside of physical “eros” love. The love tights together that even one in danger may give life for a friend. Jesus called Judas friend and He die also for Judas, but he rejected and betrayed Jesus. Jesus revealed to us Father’s love it influenced also friendship kind of love, phileo love.
Friendship and love is interlocked in greatest love we know. Jesus laid down His life for us, believe it or not. There is no in history similarity to it.
An Old Covenant, we have, is our roots was dealing with curbing sin from outside, to preserve faith and seed of Messiah. In this world of sin it would not be impossible for survival the Israel without hard law. It had to wait very long to bring the law of the spirit, law of new man (new heart).
Love is the essential component of relation. Flesh might restrain the love but in another hand the spirit may dominate flesh – material world.
Friendship is very important element of life.
Friend never betray friend. He or she never gives up. The true friend never exchanges one for another. Friendship edify, build up. Friend often shares even secret which never has to be told. It helps resolve the troubles instead of piling up. Friend is kind, never arrogant. Never accuse even though friendship is based in truth in love. Friend is not impatient. We are eternal beings and friends will last forever if they are straight with God. Friend’s love is not boastful, is not proud, don’t insist on his own way, is not resentful, or keeping records of wrongs. Friend rejoices with the truth, always protects, believes and trusts, always hopes, endure all things and never fails (1 Cor 13).
Friendship is special relationship and is very dear and priceless.

So true. I thank God for my friends. These friendships have survived the test of time and have lasted for thirty years counting. In fact, for me, friends are family and are treated as such. Greater still is being a friend with Jesus Christ.
"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." John 15:13-15.

Great Hub Vladimir and so true about friendship, if the are meant to be they will stand the test of time.
I have one friend that has stood by through thick and thin, on some things we agree to disagree, each respecting the others beliefs.
The kind of friend I may not hear from for a few months and we simply pick it up over and over again.

This is true. Also, friendship is not possessive. And not egoistic. One may have several friend-relationships with equal quality and if one develops new friendship it does not mean that he betrays the other one. I remember that I was asked by my friend years and years ago, what is better- love or friendship and I thought for a moment and said "Friendship, because it lasts longer than love".
