GOD IS ONE
60God is One. He is the only One we worship. He is the Creator of the universe.
I have friends who are Jewish and also I know many people who are “Jesus only” who not know anything to talk about except this – God is one. Of course He is.
Why did Moses mention in his writing about one God? The Ten Commandments were given in the desert for one reason. Israel trespassed and imitated other surrounding nations, while God wanted the nation of Israel to be a peculiar people to Himself, separated from others mentally (soul) and physically. The main reason was to preserve the faith and essentially to believe in the future Messiah, Savior (deliverer).
The nations around Israel had many gods.
But it does not exclude that our God has a family. This is why He is Elohim in plural. The end of ELOHIM has ending -im and means plural form in Hebrew.
Since God created man to His (Their) image (and we are family), God also has a family. He has an eternal Son. Yeshua is the Alpha and the Omega, Hebrew Alef-Tav, the Word sitting next to the Father – God as we saw in the first line and sentence of the Bible (Genesis 1:1). This is why we read the Hebrew Bible and see the word God, Elohim should be rightly translated “Gods” and not “God.” Can anybody explain that God could not have the Son and why would we tell Him, “God you cannot have Son?” What’s going on? Is He our servant or something? We did not create Him but He created us. Don’t you have anything to do than just meditate how wrong people are? Why do we have to be in two camps? Can we understand God with our mind? Why you do not meditate on faith, love, how to be victorious, blessed, and worship Him?
Yeshua is the WORD wrapped into the flesh. In Hebrew Alef Tav is not translated since nobody knew the meaning until now. Before God created the heavens and earth Yeshua was sitting next to Him (Genesis 1:1). Now He is sitting again until He will come back again to finish His work.
In the beginning Gods [Elohim] (Father & Alpha and Omega - את) created the heavens and the earth. Remember later after first flood, the Spirit (Ruah) was hovering over the waters? Did the Spirit not participate in creation? Of course he did. Ruah was waiting on the Word of God head. He was waiting again to restore and replenish the chaotic earth.
It is good and interesting to mention that the Spirit Ruah in Hebrew is of a female gender.
Then we have God head, His Son and Holy Spirit. They are in one unity, like a triangle has three sides but is one object. They are one, Hebrew echad. What is wrong with that? The same word echad is used when two become married.
Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one[echad] flesh.
Now we know that word echad means both numeric “one” and also “unity”.
Why did Moses tell Israel about God who said: “I am who I am.” I am only One? He wanted to tell us that there are no other gods created by the Gentile nations around. They had many gods. Egyptian god was a Pharaoh by himself. Then Egypt had also 10 gods, additional gods which had to be defeated and destroyed, to let them know that our God Elohim is only One and He is the strongest, able to defeat any opposition. The plagues destruction was the destruction of gods of each plague. Egypt had also a god they worshipped which was the sun. In Mesopotamia where Abraham was from they worshipped the god moon, called shin.
Our God Elohim is not God plus the collective of angels, but the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The angels are not gods but only servants to God and man. There is unity, a oneness of our God Elohim. All the time you find in the Bible Hebrew the word God, should be translated as plural. The Bible was translated plural form only on the beginning. But it is okay if we understand.
We have only one God manifested in three distinguished persons. Otherwise you will always have a conflict. It is impossible to argue about God with our mind.

Forever His,
Interesting and well written. I never heard that before about Spirit Ruah in Hebrew is female gender.
Great article Vladimir. Excellent perspective; I very much enjoyed it. Thanks.
Our God is so Awesome! He is made up of complexity and simplicty:) Great Hub!
According to the Strong Exhaustive Concordance, the definition of Elhoim is 430: angels, exceeding, God, very great, mighty
Plural of 'elowahh; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative -- angels, X exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.
The Bible states that God is spirit (John 4:24). His Holy Spirit is the Father of the Son (Mat 1:18). He is God the Father in the flesh (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:23; John 14:8-9). The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9). I am a mother, a daughter and a sister to all who know me, but that does not make me three separate persons, but three 'identities' in one person. Likewise, God is one LORD.
Consider Ps 23 that states, "The LORD (YHVH) is my Shepherd" and yet Jesus stated in John 10:11-14 "I am the good Shepherd". He was God in the flesh and was the Spirit of God, the Word of God, prior to His incarnation, and is yet the same today.
According to Rabbi Ya'acov Farber "the Hebrew language is unlike any other. The use of the feminine is not unusual even when referring to the masculine. The word may be feminine but that does not necessarily mean that what it is referring to is feminine. There are many such examples in Biblical Hebrew, Ruach HaKodesh is only one of them. You can not apply English concepts to Biblical Hebrew it doesn't work. Example the word Avot is feminine but it means fathers."
Jehovah's Witnesses separate Jehovah (YHVH) from the Son. This is their error. Muslims don't call allah 'father', for he has no son. Polytheists separate the Father, Son and Holy Spirit into three entities, rather than One LORD in two manifestations (Spirit and flesh).
The Greek word for the Hebrew, 'YHVH' is 'kurios'. Two very important passages to interpret properly are:
Rom 10:9 "if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord [kurios], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Well, Jesus said He would raise Himself from the dead (John 2:19); yet God raised Him from the dead (Acts 13:30) and so did the Spirit of God (Rom 8:11). Three persons did not raise Him from the dead, but ONE.
Finally, "No one can say Jesus is Lord [kurios] except by the Holy Spirit" (1 Cor 12:3). Blessings.
Unitarians pray to the dead.
God is love. Love must disever only to unite again. (Hope this is understandable!) :-) Well said Vladimir .. much agape love brother!

"Hear O Israel The Lord thy God is One God HALLELUJAH!!!"
Thanks. This was nice to read first thing on Monday morning. Best Wishes.
Vladimir, what Biblical evidence do you have to support your viewpoint that Jesus is not the Father? I am uncertain myself, but am inclined to believe that there is the Father, there is the Son, and there is the Holy Ghost and they all work together with perfect unity and in perfect union and with perfect harmony.
My grandfather was a Lutheran minister and so the concept of the Trinity was accepted by me as a youth, but questioned as I grew older and read the Bible more by myself.
As I said before, the jury is still out deliberating whether or not the Son is also the Father. I was just hoping you had some concrete proof to help me decide one way or the other.
Best wishes - L.R.
Thank you, Vladimir, I will patiently await your reply and please know that I am grateful for anything you can do to help clear this issue up for me and for others who may have the same questions I do!
Best wishes - L.R.
