NATURE OF GOD - CAN WE UNDERSTAND HIM?
60God is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. The first line of the statement God created heavens and the earth name God as Elohim (Genesis 1:1). The name of God is a plural noun. Some major on the name of YHWH, which came little later after the first verse in the Bible.
God has about hundred names. The reason for names is that we may address the person. Only God restricted us to cal His name in vain.
The names are important but His word is even more important, who is communicating with us. The Tanakh (Old Covenant) in Psalm said that God exalted His Word above all His names.
All translators including Jewish, translate Elohim as God and YHWH as a Lord. I do not have any problem with it.
To understand God fully is impossible. Our brain is too small (140 gram average) and insufficient to understand Him. What is left we may perceive Him in our spirit. The spirit – the heart is greater than our limited mind, brain (soul).
God is outside of our spectrum. He is the creator of universe, matter and time. We cannot perceive him as we perceive matter in a time frame. If we want to understand Him we must step outside of our physical realm and time and enter to spirit realm. That is different story.
Our born of God spirit is enable to grab many misunderstood things. He can reveal His mysteries. This is our heart – spirit, God is using to communicate with us. The Holy Spirit is one we trust He sent Him to us.
The heart (spirit) of man has the ability to believe God and His Word and love God and it is our greatest gift when we receive from Him. Heart – spirit is communication apparatus. Then we may discern and understand.
Those two covers many and is bridge to receive more.
Without the fullness of the heart’s involvement, there is nothing left, just a secular mind in operation, which is short to understand God. All outside God is perishable.
Now you have time to receive Him. He is your friend. He wants to help you. He wants to save you.
Ask Him: come to my life. I need you. You are Lord of Universe.

God reveals himself within us by the Holy Spirit and this is how we learn from him about him.

God is unfathomable. yet there is so much that He does reveal to us and I am blessed by it. Truly now we only see as if looking in a cloudy, faded mirror, but one day we will see Him face to face and Oh what a day it will be!
