WALKING IN THE SPIRIT – I

It is impossible to keep the Law of old. No one was able to keep it but One, Yeshua.

He kept it for us and in place of us. Since He was able to keep the Covenant and pay the penalty for all of us He was able to inherit the earth. He did not only pay, but freed us of all the debt we owed God.

Trying to be a moral person and practice Christianity is good but not easy and not enough.

The one way to stay out of sin is to walk in the spirit. Specific meaning is walking in man’s spirit who becomes a witness of the Holy Spirit to us that we are the children of God. It means he who is genuinely born again, born of God by the Word through faith.

The apostle Paul is speaking already to believers and not to the people of this world.

Galatians 5:16 Walk in the spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Notice that the sin of the Old Covenant has been changed be called the works of the flesh (5:19). The Ten Commandments were even extended. But I emphasize that Jesus already dealt with sin on the Cross. There is no question here if we say “I do not sin” or “I do,” but we are still in the same flesh as before we were born of God. We may sin but we don’t have to.

The point is that we may walk in the spirit or in the flesh.

The Bible is talking in the context of the human spirit, not the Holy Spirit, and should be written in small case, “s”. The Holy Spirit - Spirit of God never fights with our flesh, but the human spirit does.

Then we are talking about the human spirit, which was already born again. Those who were not born again yet, must wait until it will happen.

The scripture is clear. It does not say resist the flesh or sin, fight and then you will be able to walk in the spirit. Most people are starting that way. “I am trying”, they say, “then if I will be worthy I will be more spiritual”. This is very hard way to go. In reality it is impossible. The question is whether or not Christianity is easy or difficult the answer is here.

What does it mean to walk in the spirit? The simple way to explain this is with the example of a walkie-talkie. The first one has to talk before he starts to walk. Then again while he walks he should talk. It is like one wants to build must have a plan then he can start to build.

Before you drive to town you first have to make a decision. The decision precedes the idea and the action. Talking is very important since all is set with the Word. Word brings faith. The Word is the most important matter of life.

Usually one doesn’t start any project before he starts to talk about it. First there is talk and then there is the walk, action and not the opposite. The idea does usually or only seldom comes by working. First is an idea and then comes the action.

This is Paul’s revelation.

Walking in the spirit is the only way to live. The right belief in action will not give an opportunity for the flesh to be manifested.

Speaking the WORD of God will transform man and will stop the flesh domination. The spirit will become the boss and soul - the mind of man and flesh will follow.

Remember that the soul is a servant of who is the boss. If the flesh is boss, the souls follows the flesh, if the spirit is boss, the soul follows the spirit.

Faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17). Faith is a substance not yet seen. If I will talk in love then I will grow in love. It will manifest itself. Before we talk right we know the substance is first. Faith, love, joy, healing are the God’s given substance and God never lies. Love overcomes hate. Healing overcomes diseases. Blessings overcome poverty.

This what it means: when one walks in the spirit (WORD). Ephesians 6 says to take the sword of the spirit, is Word of God…

One has to be buried completely dipped (baptized) into the Word. The way I am doing it by listening CD’s or tapes with selected teachings. I also have the Bible on tapes. I found the best faith teachings on the earth. I am listening to the living Word and it is never boring.

The Bible covers all our needs and has all the answers. It brings success and blessings. It covers salvation, healing, prosperity and long life. It brings the fruit of the spirit and the gifts of the Spirit.

One has charged by the Word and it produces the faith then man is walking in the spirit.
